Temporary exhibits bridge samurai influences to modern culture.

Discover key cultural insights and elements

Multimedia installations, gigapixel images, and CT scans provide unique insights into traditional Japanese craftsmanship. The museum's Noh theater and tea house, offer a glimpse into samurai cultural influences through realistic projections, while live Noh excerpts and Taiko performances engage visitors every 30 minutes. Collector Peter Janssen's passion for samurai artifacts led to the museum's inception. The exhibition extends beyond weaponry, featuring textiles, paintings, tea sets, and Buddhist sculptures. One highlight of the museum is the Matsudaira clan's 17th-century armour.
