Start your day with a convenient pick-up from your hotel in Cairns, where your driver will greet you and take you to Freshwater Station for the Scenic Rail. Once aboard, enjoy the scenic rail journey through Cairns’ lush sugarcane fields and the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area. You can see Barron Falls, 15 hand-carved tunnels, 37 bridges, and countless panoramic lookouts along the way.
After arriving in Kuranda, you’ll have around one hour to explore this charming village. Wander through the vibrant Kuranda Markets, where stalls overflow with vibrant local artwork, handcrafted jewelry, and unique souvenirs that capture the essence of tropical North Queensland. Beyond the markets, explore Kuranda’s eclectic boutiques, offering everything from Aboriginal crafts and opals to handwoven textiles and gourmet treats.
At 11:30am, make your way to the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway. Journey over the World Heritage-listed rainforest, with stops at Red Peak and Barron Falls stations. Enjoy spectacular views from Edge Lookout, explore the Rainforest Interpretation Centre, and take part in guided boardwalk tours at Red Peak. After arriving at Smithfield Terminal, a coach will transfer you to Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures.
At Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures, you’ll enjoy free time to explore the park’s diverse wildlife. Take a 25-minute boat cruise through the Melaleuca wetlands, home to the fearsome saltwater crocodiles. Don’t miss the thrilling crocodile attack show, showcasing the notorious head shake and death roll, or the snake show, where you can see some of the world’s most venomous snakes.
