Begin your journey on a private and air-conditioned bus departing from the area opposite the Central Railway Station of Athens (Stathmos Larisis). The scenic ride takes you through the lush green countryside arriving at Meteora by noon. Here your local tour guide will take you around the iconic monasteries of Meteora. You will even be given time to step inside 3 of them, where you can admire their stunning architecture and interiors. Think hidden gems and the tour will take you through ancient hermit caves, Chapel of Doupiani, and St. George Mandilas cave. Learn why the hermits settled in the magnificent caves 1000s of years ago and the monks' significance on the region's culture. There will be multiple stops for photo shoots too!
