A relaxing escape to Morocco’s mountains
If you are looking to escape the hustling life in Marrakesh and be one with nature, then this day trip to Ourika Valley and Atlas Mountains is just for you. Your day starts with a hassle-free pickup from your hotel in your minibus before you are whisked off to Ourika Valley. On the way, drink in the olive groves, orchards, and river valleys as you drive through winding mountain roads.
A peek into local life
Your first stop will be at some Berber villages where you will get to see the rich culture and traditions that have governed their way of life. As you explore the villages, you'll get to see the traditional Adobe structures with flat rooftops and red or warm houses that blend seamlessly with the mountains. You may see some local artisans working their magic before you move onto a women's argan cooperative. Here, you'll get to watch how argan is made, from cracking and grinding the argan nuts to extracting the oil.
Traditions, culture, and nature
Move on to touring a Berber house and gaining insight into their life and tradition at home before you move on Setti Fadma. Here you’ll meet your local guide and go on a 1-hour hike to reach the stunning Setti Fadma waterfalls where you can see the water cascading at tremendous speed over jutting rocks. After the hike, you'll have 1 hour to indulge in a delicious local lunch by the Ourika River before returning to Marrakesh.
