Before kicking off the night in Rovaniemi with a 5km husky sleigh ride, enjoy hot blueberry juice as you wait your turn in the husky tunnel. Feel your heart race as a team of huskies pulls you across the moonlit landscapes. The ride lasts about 20 to 30 minutes before you head to a spot to try and spot the Northern Lights! The winter setting sets the stage for an unforgettable journey through the snow-clad forests and rolling hills. Come across a chain of ancient spruce forests, where dense woodlands give way to open fields. Bundled up in cozy winter gear provided, you'll bear witness to the winter night sky alight with thousands of twinkling stars. After the ride, the guide will try to find a spot where you might be able to spot the Northern Lights if the weather permits.
Get to meet beautiful reindeer, and feed them their favorite snack while the guide tells you interesting stories about their involvement in Lappish culture. During the ride, you will pass by snowy trails with starry skies overhead. As you sled through the winter wonderland for 20 to 30 minutes, you might also get to see the Northern Lights dancing above you, under a clear sky. After this magical ride, you can warm up with a hot drink and Finnish snacks to complete your evening.
The Northern Lights is a phenomenon to behold, a celestial ballet of lights that paints the inky canvas of the night sky in vibrant shades of green, pink, and violet. Since it is a natural phenomenon, the chances of seeing them depend on the weather conditions and solar activity on that night.
