Visit the centuries-old Temple of Apollo, and explore the Necropolis, one of the biggest burial sites in Anatolia. The wondrous natural hot water springs, formed on terraces, are rich in calcium and maintain a 35-degree celsius temperature all year round. You will be amazed by the glistening white formations of solidified calcium carbonate terraces, forming a white blanket as far as the eye goes. Rightfully called Pamukkale, which stands for “Cotton Castle” in Turkish, the travertine terraces look like delicate white steps out of a fairytale.
