What you can expect

Visit two special attractions of Collodi, Pinocchio Park with its fairytale monuments and the spectacular garden of Villa Garzoni with its hidden gems.

The Pinocchio Park is built as a surprise journey. It begins with two works that condense the meaning of the story of Pinocchio, the monument "Pinocchio and the Fairy" by Emilio Greco and the Piazzetta dei Mosaici by Venturino Venturi.

Visit Villa Garzoni and let your imagination run free while you appreciate the variety of crops and the delicate hydraulic system which largely traces the eighteenth-century one. Walk from the Scala d'Acqua to suggestive corners such as the Labyrinth, the Teatro di Verzura, and the Viale dei Poveri, flanked by picturesque figures.

Explore the Collodi Butterfly House inhabited by hundreds of butterflies from tropical or equatorial areas, where the butterflies are the largest and most colourful. They are alive and free to fly in a tropical garden, lush with plants, flowers and fruits thanks to the perfect reconstruction of their original environment. Here butterflies and moths court feed and reproduce in perfect balance with the environment that hosts them, kept free from enemy insects and spiders thanks to the presence of small birds that feed on them, while they do not touch either caterpillars or butterflies. You'll be able to walk in this fascinating world where you can observe all the stages of development from the egg to the butterfly.
