Laden with rich history, Frauenkirche, which translates to "Our Lady’s Church", is as important a structure in Dresden as any. During WWII, when the city was under attack by the Allied powers, the church was one among many to collapse. However, after the Berlin Wall fell, a foundation was set up in order to gather money to restore the church, and thanks to that, in 2006 it was completely restored to its original state, once again adorning Dresden’s skyline.
On this guided tour, you will get to learn all about the church’s history through a rather unique method. A trained member of the church will be present as your guide and will walk you through a moving presentation that highlights the church’s history. As you sit back and enjoy the presentation you will get to learn and understand why this particular structure is a vital part of the very fabric that makes Dresden and why it is a long-standing symbol of hope to many believers.
