Your tour begins at Albertinapl with a visit to the Monument Against War and Fascism created by Austrian sculptor Alfred Hrdlicka. From here a short walk will lead you to the Opera House, set alight by American bombardment in 1945. Your next stop on the tour will be the Academy of Fine Arts. Hear about the vast history of the monument from your tour guide while walking to the majestic Heldenplatz – the site where Hitler announced the annexation of Austria to Nazi Germany.
