What you can expect

The mound was constructed between 1820 and 1823 to honor Tadeusz Kościuszko, who played a significant role in various military conflicts, including the American Revolutionary War and the Kościuszko Uprising in Poland. Kościuszko Mound is a popular walking destination and an excellent vantage point. In good weather, you can see the Tatra Mountains, 100 km away, from its summit!

Visiting Kościuszko Mound provides not only an opportunity to learn about Polish history but also a chance to enjoy the natural beauty of the area and appreciate the architectural and symbolic significance of this historic site.

The interior of the mound contains a stone chamber with a tablet commemorating Kościuszko. In the past, the mound also housed various relics and patriotic memorabilia.
