This full-day tour from Edinburgh introduces you to some of the Scottish Highlands' most scenic landscapes, with stops that highlight both natural beauty and local heritage, including Glencoe and Loch Ness.
When booking, you can choose between three options: a tour-only experience with transport and a driver-guide, or enhance your experience with additional options such as a one-hour cruise on Loch Ness or a combined visit to Urquhart Castle (30β45 minutes) followed by a 30-minute Loch Ness cruise.
After leaving Edinburgh, you'll pass by Stirling Castle before stopping at Kilmahog, where you can see Highland cattle. The journey continues across the wide-open landscapes of Rannoch Moor and the Black Mount, leading to Glencoe, one of Scotland's best-known glens, where there's time to take in its dramatic setting.
Later in the day, there's a stop in Fort William, followed by a drive through the Great Glen towards Fort Augustus. Here, you'll have time to enjoy views of Loch Ness while walking along the shoreline. Depending on the option chosen, this may include a cruise on the loch and time to visit Urquhart Castle. You'll spend the afternoon exploring the area around Loch Ness and learning about its history before returning to Edinburgh.
