Embark on an unforgettable journey to the Grampians, one of Australia's oldest and most awe-inspiring mountain ranges. This day trip promises breathtaking views, encounters with native wildlife, and a deep appreciation for the rich Aboriginal heritage that graces this land.
Start off your adventure from Melbourne, setting the stage for a day filled with exploration and wonder. Moving on, stop in the charming township of Beaufort for a refreshing break. Now as you enter the Grampians National Park, prepare to be captivated by the Aboriginal history and culture at Brambuk, the National Park & Cultural Centre. Keep your camera ready for kangaroos, emus, and a variety of birds as we traverse the Grampians.
In the midst of the tour, hop for a delightful lunch (at your expense) in the picturesque township of Halls Gap. Marvel at the panoramic views from Boroka Lookout, a vista that will leave you breathless. Now, embark on a captivating walk through Reed Lookout and The Balconies, immortalized in the famous Japanese Animation 'Princess Mononoke.' Prepare to be inspired by the majestic MacKenzie Falls, where you can descend 160 steps to reach the base of this awe-inspiring natural wonder (alternatively, Silverband Falls or Beehive Falls). On your way back to Melbourne, make pit stops in Ararat or Ballan for dinner (at your expense).
