Cultural & architectural heritage of Catalonia

Situated on a narrow, unassuming street in the Ribera district of Barcelona, the Palau de la Música concert hall is composed of distinct modernist architectural styles. Be stunned by the aesthetic blend of sculpture, mosaic, stained glass, and wrought iron on the facades of this unique building.

Home to the Orfeó Català choir and funded entirely by public donations, Palau de la Música is woven into the cultural, architectural, and musical fabric of the city's history. Don’t miss the chance to visit the choir’s rehearsal room!

Inside Palau de la Música

The concert hall, forming the central part of this structure, is a lavishly decorated vast space flooded with natural light, courtesy of a beautiful skylight. Walk on stage and look out at the seats of the audience from the perspective of the performers.

Lastly, visit the Sala Lluís Millet, named after the founder of the Orfeó Català choir. The giant stained glass windows of the room display the spectacular columns decorating the balcony of the building. Your audio guide will take you through this journey in Catalan, Spanish, English, French, Italian, Korean, German, and Chinese.
