See and appreciate wildlife when you visit the San Diego Zoo and the Safari Park and participate in their incredible animal experiences. If you love nature, animals, and learning more about wildlife environments, these two are a must-visit.
At the San Diego Zoo, you’ll walk through lush, themed habitats home to 12,000 animals. A guided tour of the Zoo will give you an overview of the area and its species, after which you can explore each section at your own pace. Visit the Lost Forest to see orangutans swinging through trees, the koalas in the Australian Outback, or the polar bears in the Northern Frontier. If you want a break from walking, hop on the Skyfari aerial tram for a scenic ride over the park. The Zoo is designed to bring you close to the animals, making your experience even more intimate and personal.
At the San Diego Zoo Safari Park, you get to see animals roam across large, open landscapes. The African Tram Safari takes you through a savanna where you can see rhinos and giraffes move freely. For those who want adventure, you can book a safari experience where you get to feed a giraffe or zipline over the wildlife. Visit the Tiger Trail to see Sumatran tigers in their natural setting. The free-flight aviary is great for bird lovers and the petting zoo is perfect for children.
