As you board the sightseeing boat and start towards Nea Kameni for the first stop at the volcano, you will get the chance to take in the hulking, multi-hued cliffs of Santorini. Once you reach there, you can enjoy a hike up to the volcanic crater with your expert guide (2.5€ entrance fee per person). Make most of the 1.5 hrs here to take Instagrammable snaps of the vista spread out beneath you, and learn the interesting history of the volcano from your guide.
The next stop is at the famed thermal waters, where the boat will be anchored for 30 minutes, within 30 meters of Agios Nicholaos beach’s shallow waters. Mixed with mud and full of iron, sulfur, and other metals originating from the volcano, the waters are a blessing for skin and physical ailments like rheumatism and arthritis. Enjoy a healing soak here, before moving on to the final stop - the island of Thirassia. (Note - It is essential that you swim extremely well in order to reach the Agios Nicholaos’ beach.)
For two hours, you can explore Thirassia, a miniature version of Santorini from years ago. Only 9 sq km in size and with around 300 permanent residents, the village has retained its traditional roots and is untouched by the modern lifestyle. Taste authentic Santorinian cuisine and walk around the capital - the main village of Manolas - from where you can get spectacular views of Santorini. The tour will conclude at the old port of Fira, with those who have selected transfers being dropped off at their respective hotels.
