The Habitat Penang Hill will be closed during 08-14 June 2026 as The Penang Hill Funicular Train will be having bi annual maintenance. We will resume operations on 15th June 2026.

Experience a world-class ecotourism park on the edge of a 130-million-year-old virgin rainforest in Penang at The Habitat Penang Hill. Enjoy the spectacular views of Penang's rich valleys and diverse wildlife atop a 13-meter treetop walking path. Take a stroll along a 1.6-kilometer nature trail established by the British East India Company in the early 1800s, and enjoy the three huge swings along the way.
Listen as park naturalists provide facts about Penang's diverse rainforest wildlife. Discover how The Habitat works with the rainforest's ecology to regulate climate, water and nutrient recycling, air purification, carbon storage, and soil stability. Learn more about The Habitat's attractions here.

Last entry for Standard Entrance Ticket holders is at 5:30 PM. Guests entering after 5:30 PM will be required to purchase an Evening Walk add-on ticket at RM18 per pax. Visitors with Standard Entrance Tickets (non-Evening Walk) must exit the park by 7:00 PM. Evening Walk visitors may exit anytime via the main entrance. The park closes at 9:00 PM.Sunset views and Night Walk experiences are weather-dependent and cannot be guaranteed.
Visitors can immerse themselves in the enchanting atmosphere of our 130-million-year-old rainforest after sunset. They will witness stunning light installations along the Langur Way Canopy Walk and Curtis Crest Tree Top Walk. In addition, visitors can now embark along our trail after dark and spot nocturnal animals that call this rainforest home. Our new night-time experiences promise to offer a magical, memorable adventure. Highlights: Light installations, nocturnal wildlife and educational night walks led by our Guest Experience Rangers. Train's operating hours can range from 15 minutes to an hour depending on the crowd (peak or non-peak hour).
