Meeting point description: This activity includes pick-up, you'll select your pick-up address during the checkout process. Tours commence in Canmore with subsequent pickups in Banff. For guests awaiting pick-ups in Canmore, please wait in the lobby 10-minutes prior to the designated pickup time. For those in Banff, please be prepared for pickup 30-minutes after the specified time, as travel from Canmore to Banff requires approximately 30 minutes.

• Not allowed:Guests must be at least 6 years old to participate

Know in advance:The stargazing tour is weather-dependent. To ensure the best experience, the tour will only proceed if the skies are clear and not overly cloudy

• If the weather conditions, such as heavy cloud cover, rain, or snow, affect visibility, the tour may be postponed or canceled
• Extreme cold or high winds may also impact comfort and the overall experience, so the tour may be rescheduled accordingly
• You will be notified as soon as possible in the event of any cancellations or changes
• Winter can be quite cold, so layered clothing, warm hats, gloves, and sturdy boots will ensure your experience is comfortable
• Tour operator may refuse boarding if an individual doesn’t wear the proper clothing

Here, your guide sets a reflective tone with stories about Banff’s history and the people who shaped this mountain town. A short drive then brings you to Lake Minnewanka as dusk deepens. Along the shoreline, you’ll hear engaging stories that connect Indigenous perspectives, wildlife behaviour, and the land’s long-standing significance.

As night fully arrives, you’ll continue deeper into the park to Two Jack Lake. At a hand-selected lakeside viewpoint, settle into premium heated chairs and enjoy complimentary tea or hot chocolate while exploring the night sky. Using telescopes, binoculars, and iPads with constellation-identification apps, you’ll observe planets, star clusters, and distant galaxies in remarkable detail.
