• + To reach the caves, you need to walk about 15 minutes uphill from the parking lot or bus stop. The path is well maintained.
• + Ticket must be exchanged at the ticket office
• + The cave may be closed in heavy rain

Product Info

You visit the Beatus Caves above Lake Thun. The associated cave museum displays the geology of the cave system. It provides information about cave research and scientific findings. You can visit the museum with an audio guide.

You explore the cave individually. Along the way, you will encounter 25 information boards (German, English). Additionally, you can use the free app "Saint Beatus".

The approximately one-hour circuit takes you over 297 steps and climbs 87 meters in altitude. You walk through grottos, ravines, and halls, marveling at mighty stalactite formations. You will come across streams and waterfalls during your walk. The stairs and paths are always moist, and the temperature remains constant between 8 and 10°C inside the caves.
