Validity:
- The validity of online tickets is determined by the date (and time, for 48-hour and 72-hour versions) specified on your ticket. The 4/5/6-day cards expire at midnight on their last day.
- For 4/5/6-day cards, validity depends on the calendar days chosen. A 4-day card used any time on Wednesday remains valid until midnight Saturday.
- The 48/72-hour tickets are active for exactly 48 or 72 hours from your selected booking time. For instance, a 72-hour ticket starting at 8:30am Monday is valid until 8:29am Thursday.

Children between the ages of 6 and 14 can travel free on an adult’s ticket (3 kids per adult ticket). Any number of children below 6 years of age can travel on public transport for free. The Berlin WelcomeCard is valid during the period indicated on the ticket and must be displayed as an A4 printout. The Berlin Brandenburg (BER) airport, as well as the city of Potsdam, are in the tariff area C. The tariff zones A and B cover the Berlin city area. So if you need to get to the airport or Potsdam, purchase the Berlin WelcomeCard Zone ABC. An extension of the Berlin WelcomeCard AB with a connecting ticket C is not possible. Each attraction or landmark can be visited only once with this card.
