What you can expect

Join a charming walking tour through the streets of one of Italy's most beautiful villages, starting from the tourist office, located inside the town hall.

Stop to admire the impressive church of “Madonna della Neve” (Our Lady of the Snows). Then, proceed towards Piazza Umberto I, a gathering place for local people. After that, visit the Colonel Martina Museum, where you'll learn more about Monforte (the visit is not possible in case private events are held in the building).

To reach the core of the old Monforte, take an uphill path, following the steps of the heretics' community of Cathars. You are in the "saracca" area now. Continue to Old Church Square, where the clock tower, a symbol of the town, is located. Next to the tower, you can see the Saint Augustin Oratorio, the iconic Horszowski amphitheater - the place for jazz lovers thanks to the Monfortinjazz festival held every summer - and a panoramic viewpoint. The last stop of your tour will give you an incredible photo opportunity at the #12 Big Bench.
