Located about 40 minutes from Sanxia City, the Manyueyuan National Forest Recreation Area sits at an altitude of 300 to 1700 meters. Its year-round humid and cool climate fosters a rich fern ecosystem, including the demanding "fan fern." At the end of the hiking trail, the Manyueyuan Waterfall and the Virgin Waterfall are two of the area's most beautiful sights. From the Manyue Bridge, a large rock wall over ten meters high obscures the upper part of the Manyueyuan Waterfall, which plunges straight down with tremendous force.
