• + Children up to and including the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult
• + Dress: warm clothing and closed shoes (exhibition rooms 14 to 18 °C, historic fortress approx. 6 °C)
• + You walk about 2 km inside the mountain (slightly uphill).

Product Info

You visit the exhibitions at Sasso San Gottardo without a guide. These include the following exhibitions:

+ Permanent exhibition "Goethe on the Gotthard"

+ Gotthard watershed light show

+ Crystal cavern with resting gallery

+ Chamber of Wonders

+ Gotthard myth

+ Energy cavern

You then take the Metro del Sasso into the interior of the mountain. You will also have to walk along a slightly ascending, long connecting tunnel. In total, you will cover around 2 km on foot.

The historic fortress contains the following stages

• + General Guisan exhibition
• + Cold War exhibition
• + Gun 1 and 2
• + machine gun stand
• + Panoramic terrace

You will find the main entrance to Sasso San Gottardo on the Gotthard Pass. It is about 300 m from the hotels/restaurants at the top of the pass. The exhibition sector is located about 300 m deep in the mountain.

• **Practical information:**
• + It is recommended to use the cantonal road from Flüelen to Göschenen (not the highway).
• + Parking spaces directly in front of the main entrance
• + Public transport: Postbus stop Gotthard Passhöhe, 300 m on foot to the main entrance
• + Photography is permitted
• + Wheelchairs can be borrowed (only partial access with wheelchair)
